Raising funds through pledges
*Any cyclist securing $250 or more in pledges for Breast Cancer education and awareness will receive a complimentary WooMan cycling jersey (a $69 value).
The targeted pledge levels are goals for fundraising but not required to ride. Our objective is to raise money for breast cancer education and awareness. Almost everyone has experienced the affects of breast cancer in some way or another, whether personally or through a loved one or friend, so reaching out to people for support should be easy.
Just think of it this way: Can you get 10 people to pledge $1 per mile that you will ride? Or 20 people to pledge $.50 per mile? That’s how easy it could be to raise $200, $500 or even $1,000 for breast cancer education and awareness! The key is to ask as many people as you can for any donation they can make to support your commitment to ride and help the cause.
Set a personal goal or team up with others to achieve an even higher goal. Set daily and weekly goals to keep on track. Send e-mails to everyone in your contacts list and let them know your personal objective or story for raising funds and riding this tour. Be sure to follow up with them after the event to let them know of your success and gratitude for their support. Together, we can all make a difference!
